How to Play

Test your tech knowledge. Guess which term gets Googled more.

1 Two cards appear

You'll see two tech terms side by side โ€” programming languages, AI tools, cloud services, design apps, and more. The left card shows its monthly Google search volume. The right card's number is hidden.

2 Guess Higher or Lower

Click Higher if you think the hidden card has more searches, or Lower if you think it has fewer. Trust your gut โ€” or your tech knowledge.

3 Build your streak

Get it right? The winning card stays, a new challenger appears. Keep guessing to build your streak. One wrong answer and it's game over. How far can you go?

Tips

  • โœ“ Big names dominate โ€” ChatGPT gets ~720 million searches/month, while niche tools get thousands.
  • โœ“ Cross-category comparisons are fair game. Canva (design) gets more searches than Rust (programming).
  • โœ“ When in doubt, pick the more mainstream term. Developer tools tend to have lower search volumes than consumer products.
  • โœ“ Your best score is saved locally โ€” try to beat it!

About the Data

All search volumes come from the Cleanor Search Index, which tracks real Google Keyword Planner data across 20 countries. The dataset includes 132 tech terms across 9 categories, all measured in June 2026 using the same methodology โ€” so every comparison is valid.

Data licensed under CC BY 4.0. Google Keyword Planner rounds volumes into bands, so treat numbers as directional, not exact.
